Our Lord Jesus Christ’s “Great Commission” of Matthew 28 is the backbone of both our Mission Statement and our Vision. It reads in part – “therefore go and make disciples of all nations … teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you …”

Having received Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, we the congregation of Hope Community Church of Newburyport, joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ guided by His Spirit: to join regularly in worship that celebrates the great faithfulness and love of God, who gave us life eternal through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ; to pursue genuine, loving community that endeavors to forgive, accept, pray for, and encourage one another through all the challenges of this life; to live holy lives that reflect the character of Christ, making Him Lord in all matters of life and conduct; and to share the good news of the gospel as we serve Christ in our various callings, both in our community and throughout the world. All this is to be done through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of God. Amen.

This is our mission as a church. We want to follow Jesus--to grow in our relationship with him, to know his voice and his Word, and to become more like him. And we want to do it together--for all who are a part of Fireside to have a strong net of intentional relationships around them that are centered around loving and caring for each other (Acts 2:42).

We are a non-denominational church that exists in the City of Haverhill to demonstrate the love and power of Christ through salvation, healing and deliverance.

Our main goal is to see personal and community transformation by the power of the Holy Spirit. We measure the success of this goal through the daily stories of individuals experiencing personal transformation in their own lives and then seeing those same individuals partner with God to see transformation in their surrounding community.

Our goal is for everyone in the city of Haverhill to experience the presence of God and to see a tangible expression of Jesus Christ in their lives today. We desire, just as Jesus said as part of what is known as the Lord's Prayer that God's will be done "on earth as it is in heaven".

Our long-term desire is to see an extraordinary work of God’s Spirit in every community on the North Shore, that results in thousands of people meeting Christ, growing as disciples, and serving in Gospel- centered churches.

We want to see lives renewed, families transformed, homes opened up, skeptics welcomed, prayer mobilized, leaders developed, old divisions healed, and churches partnering together in mission.
